The Redmi Note 2 Prime is fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD display and is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio X10 paired with a 2GB of RAM. The internal memory will be bumped up from 8GB to 32GB along with a microSD card slot that can accommodate another 32GB. On the imaging front, the Redmi Note 2 Prime is expected to feature a 13-Megapixel primary Samsung/OmniVision sensor with PDAF and 1080p video recording....

Those were the words of a rather emotional executive when we recently asked him about the Poco F1. After all, the phone has notched up sales of 700,000 units globally since its launch, a figure that in itself has sparked some confusion. OnePlus has always followed a rather unorthodox strategy as regards product launches in India. Their first launch, that of the OnePlus One and their third, the OnePlus X, followed relatively conventional lines – inviting the media to a large conference room in a well-known hotel and then sticking to the presentation-followed-by-Q-and-A routine. But those two apart, the brand has tried to go for a slightly less formal setting, opting for cafes and well-known pubs for the launches of the OnePlus 2, OnePlus 3 and well, now the OnePlus 3T....

Before that, however, here’s a brief overview of how Xiaomi managed to sneak past Oppo on the charts. While the latter was busy spending a shedload of money on marketing and retailer margins, the former gradually built its community and image by offering a range of well-balanced phones at remarkably affordable prices exclusively on online platforms. When Xiaomi was done establishing a strong foothold there, the company decided to enter the offline market where its line of phones was already making waves through unofficial channels....

The Honor 8X was launched in India way back in October of 2018 which is roughly a year and three months ago. And in the world of tech, that’s a long, long time. What doesn’t help the cause either is that the Honor 9X was launched almost six months ago in July 2019 in China. However, now that we have the phone with us, we have been using it for a couple of days, and these are our first impressions of the Honor 9X....

In design terms, the P30 Pro sticks broadly to the design of its predecessor – there is no collection of cameras in a square outline a la the Mate 20 Pro but the same vertical capsule like set-up we saw on the P20 Pro (it juts out a bit as well) but adds some Mate 20 Pro magic in terms of gradient finish to its back. We got a unit with the Aurora finish and well, while it is definitely on the taller side at 158 mm, it is impressively slim at 8....

The OnePlus 7 Pro is the brand’s shiny new flagship smartphone and while it ditches the affordable flagship segment and competes directly against flagships from other premium brands, the younger, less-talked-about sibling, the OnePlus 7 sticks to the brand’s initial core philosophy of providing a flagship-grade experience at an affordable price. Can it still retain the flagship killer tag though? Let’s find out in our first impressions of the device....

Back-ing them OnePlus feels Take the design for a start. We have no hesitation in saying that the Realme X50 is the most premium looking device we have seen from the brand, easily surpassing the Master Editions of the X and X2 Pro, and those two devices themselves. The front is fairly predictable – a large 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90 Hz refresh rate and a Full HD+ resolution, although this time, there is a dual punch hole notch on the top left corner....

Of course, the first thing that hits you about the S10+ is…duh, let’s be predictable, its display. Hardly surprising, given the sort of hegemony Samsung has established in that zone. There are AMOLED displays and there are excellent displays and then there are the ones that come on Samsung’s flagships. The S10+ carries forward this tradition with a magnificent 6.4-inch quad HD+ AMOLED display, which it calls the Infinity O....

A design that is a beautiful love child of Samsung and OP And this begins with its design. Imagine if Samsung and OnePlus’ top-end devices fell in love and had a child. Got over the shock? Well, said offspring would look very much like the Vivo X50 Pro. Yes, it looks that good. Vivo has made some rather good looking phones in the past as well (hey, we thought the Nex was beautiful) but the X50 Pro takes it to another level....

Trendy but not a trendsetter The new age smartphone design makes all smartphones come with a tall edge to edge displays, but while they may be getting tall, they have stayed pretty much the same in terms of width. That seems to be different when it comes to the Vivo Z1 Pro. It comes with a 6.5-inch display, but along with looking tall, the phone also looks a little wider as compared to mainstream smartphones....

For those who know it not, the Chromebook was supposed to be the über affordable notebook – the one that allowed you to do just about every routine notebook activity, by using mostly online tools and relatively fewer hardware resources. It ran on Chrome OS, a very light and speedy OS built around, as its name indicated, the Chrome browser and Google’s services. Most significantly, the use of relatively less powerful hardware allows Chromebooks to be super affordable, without compromising on speed or performance....

That plastic is also responsible for some judging the headphones too harshly. Many people who saw them felt they looked a little on the cheap, plasticky side – we had the blue units for review, and to be honest, they did have a rather plasticky sheen to them. Some might consider them to be funky, but most people who saw them shook their heads at the design and at the fact that the earcups were not designed to seal out sound like other headphones (like Motorola’s Pulse Escape, which comes in the same price segment)....

The ad revolves around a young woman who lives with her dog. It begins with the woman working on her MacBook, creating something. She then prints it out, looks at it and puts it in a box and locks it. The ad then builds the personality of the protagonist, her life at work, travel, meetups with friends, and then brings it all back to her home again, where she is always seen creating something on her MacBook (on another day, we would have wondered if she does not think that the iPad Pro is computer enough but shush, just sense the mush)....
