Samsung-oriented website SamMobile has managed to obtain exclusive images showing the 18.4-inch monster tablet from Sammy. Judging by its size, we’re not sure if this should be considered as a rival to the iPad Pro, as Apple’s mammoth tablet has a size of 12.9-inch. To be frank, the Galaxy View is simply Samsung’s biggest tablet in their lineup and shouldn’t literally be taken as a rival to any other device out there.
As we can clearly see from the pictures, this is the first time in a couple of years that we are seeing a Samsung tablet without the company’s traditional hard home button. Instead, the tablet will feature on-screen navigation buttons, which will make it easier to operate, taking into consideration its big display.
A tablet this big surely needs as dock to make it easier to be used. the tablet’s dock. It folds out at the back and also has a handle to make it easy to carry around. The tablet also has a front-facing camera, which is most likely going to be useful in video calls. Now this is one feature that will look great – high-quality Skype calls on a huge screen.
Previous leaks and rumors were suggesting that the Galaxy View will run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and will have a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7580 processor with Mali-T720 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a 2-megapixel secondary camera, and a 5,700 mAh battery. The device is expected to be 451.8 mm wide, 275.8 mm tall, and 11.9 mm thick. Would you be interested in such a big device? It does seem like a nice tablet, but in my opinion it will prove an interesting device for doctors, engineers, architects, engineers and so on. Still, I imagine that watching a movie on it would be so badass…
