As mentioned initially, the all-new Mi Band 5 comes with a new charging mechanism. For, the tracker now features two nodes at the bottom that attach to the new magnetic charging dock and do not require the need to remove the tracker from the strap and align it with the cradle, as with the previous versions. Thus, making the charging experience hassle-free. Moving to the display, the Mi Smart Band 5 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED colored display, which is now 20% bigger than the previous offering to offer a bigger screen estate for better accessibility and interaction. The display also has a 2.5D curved glass on top, and the band offers up to 5ATM (50 meters) of water-resistance. Talking about performance, Band 5 is claimed to come with a faster (unnamed) processor. It connects over Bluetooth 5.0 (LE) and includes a 125mAh battery that promises up to 14 days of battery life on a single charge. Besides, the tracker comes with a heart-rate sensor and offers 24-hour sleep tracking, fitness tracking, PAI (Personal Activity Intelligence) health analysis, and women wellbeing tracking. Furthermore, the tracker comes with a tri-axis accelerometer and gyroscope, and it offers support for up to 11 different sports modes such as outdoor running, walking, cycling, indoor running, swimming, etc. What’s more, the Mi Band 5 provides step counts, weather reports, sleep tracking, sedentary reminders, along with notifications from different apps.
