The listing further reveals that the Moto G5 Plus will come under the model number XT1685 and also states that it should arrive in the market by March this year. The seller goes on to reveal the specs of the Moto G5. The device is expected to come fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD display and under the hood will be Snapdragon 625 paired with a generous 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device is expected to offer 32GB of internal memory and it is most likely that we might also get a 64GB version as well.
Moving on, the device comes studded with other common features like the fingerprint sensor, 13-Megapixel primary sensor, 5-Megapixel secondary sensor, 3080mAh battery pack and Android 7.0 Nougat on the software front. Leaked pictures look strikingly similar to the CAD renders that had surfaced earlier. That said there is still confusion on whether the earlier CAD renders were that of the Moto X. Design elements including the curves and the placement of USB ports make it look like the Moto X but the specifications seem in line with the Moto G series. However, the absence of a USB Type-C post is uncanny but again this is just the leak and the final product might incorporate the Type-C. Since Motorola had unveiled the Moto G4 and the G4 Plus in March last year it’s very likely that they will stick to the schedule with the Moto G5 and the G5 Plus as well.
