The Xiaomi Redmi 5A comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display alongside the Reading Mode that blocks the blue light. Under the hood, the Redmi 5A is powered by a Quad Core Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 2GB/3G of RAM. On the storage front, the Redmi 5A offers 16GB/32GB of internal memory along with a microSD card that can accommodate up to 128GB of storage. Xiaomi has baked in a 3,000mAh battery on the Redmi 5A and the company claims a standby of up to 8 days and 7 hours of video playback. The camera options on the Redmi 5A include a 13-Megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 and PDAF. The front camera/selfie unit is a 5-Megapixel sensor with Smart and Pro beautify mode. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, dual SIM slot, Bluetooth and GPS. Furthermore, the device runs on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat 7.0. As far as pricing is concerned Xiaomi seems to have hit the bulls eye once again. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A annihilates the competition (at least on paper) like the Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace or the Micromax Canvas Spark 4G. Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be available in Dark Grey, Gold and Rose Gold. The device will be available starting from November 7 across Mi Home and Flipkart. That apart Xiaomi has also partnered with offline retailers like Sangeeta, Poorvika, Univercell and eZone.
